Theresa Robison will present the benefits of tokenization for protecting sensitive business, customer and patient information, and for regulatory compliance
ATLANTA — May 29th, 2012 —
Liaison Technologies, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, today announced that network and data security expert and software architect Theresa Robison is the featured speaker at the upcoming meeting of the Metro Atlanta Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) to be held on May 31. Robison will present “A New Approach to Enterprise Data Security: Tokenization.”
Tokenization is a new data security model that is rapidly gaining traction with organizations tasked with protecting all types of confidential information in extended environments to comply with data security regulations and privacy laws. It can be used alone or to augment strong encryption to better secure sensitive business and customer information, including credit card numbers, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI), while also reducing scope for Payment Card Industry (PCI) audits.
During the presentation, Robison will discuss the business drivers for data protection and how tokenization is used for securing sensitive information. Use cases that illustrate tokenization applications and benefits will be provided.
Robison is development lead for Liaison’s cloud-based tokenization solution, Liaison Protect Tokenization-as-a-Service (TaaS), and was instrumental in architecting and developing Liaison Protect Token Manager, Liaison’s on-premise tokenization solution. She is a published author on wireless sensor networks and mobile phone intrusion protection systems topics. Prior to joining Liaison, she was a software engineer for IBM Tivoli Security Operations Management.
